SPARKS Children

A congregation of children and adults gathered in a church with a large wooden cross and banners that read "Blessed" and "His wounds we are..." The children are standing on stage singing or performing, while the audience watches. Some adults are playing instruments, including a man with a guitar.

Some people are holding photo props like a spoon, a football helmet, a mustache, and a sandwich. Everyone is smiling and appears to be in a cheerful mood.

Sparks Sunday school takes place during the 10:00 service. Bring your kiddos right into the sanctuary. There is a children's chat right after the welcoming. From there, the kiddos will walk to the daycare wing.

We will start our time with music practice and then divide into age-based groups for our lessons. We ask that you pick up your child promptly after service ends to respect our volunteers' time.

While children are with us, they will learn key Bible stories and have the opportunity to take part in a craft and/or game.

We use a program called Godly Play. It is a Montessori-based approach to faith education. Each lesson comes with a set of materials to bring the story to life. This allows our children not only to hear the story but also to use other senses, such as smell, touch, and sight. Involving multiple senses not only helps our children to stay engaged, but it also helps them to retain the stories. We strive to see your child flourish on their personal faith journey!

SPARKS Children’s Chat

During worship on Sunday mornings, we invite our children to come forward to participate in a message specifically for them.

We want our children to experience God's good news in a way that they can understand and encourage them to feel empowered to share this good news and love with everyone they meet.
