IMMANUEL SPARKS CHILDREN
SPARKs SUNDAY SCHOOL
SPARKS Sunday School kicks off on Sunday, September 14th at the 10:00 service.
Sparks Sunday school takes place during the service at 10:00. Bring your kiddos right to the sanctuary. There is a children's message right after the welcoming. From there the kiddos will walk to the daycare wing.
We will start our time with music practice and then divide into age based groups for our lessons. We do ask that you pick your child up in a timely fashion after service has ended to respect the time of our volunteers.
While children are with us they will learn key Bible stories and have the opportunity to take part in a craft and/or game. We use a program called Godly Play. It is a Montessori based approach to faith education. Each lesson comes with a set of materials to bring the story to life. This allows our children to not only hear the story, but to use other senses such as smell, touch, and sight as well. Involving multiple senses not only helps our children to stay engaged, but it helps them to retain the stories. We strive to see your child flourish on their personal faith journey!
We strive to see your child flourish on his/her personal faith journey! If your child will be attending SPARKS Sunday school, we do ask that you register using the form below.
SPARKs CHILDREN'S CHAT
During worship on Sunday mornings, we invite our children to come forward to participate in a message specifically for them. We want our children to experience God's good news in a way that they can understand and encourage them to feel empowered to share this good news and love with everyone they meet.
WEEKLY CHILDREN'S chat
SPARKS SMALL GROUPS
After the children's chat at the beginning of worship,
children will head to a music lesson.
They will then break into age based groups for their lessons.
We use a program called Godly Play, which is told in a Montessori style. The stories unfold slowly and with intention. Each lesson comes with a set of materials to fully engage children within the story and provide them an opportunity to participate in the lessons. There is also a time to invite the children to process and ask questions about what the story means.
We ask that parents pick their child(ren) up in the lower level once the worship service has finished.
