BUILDING CLOSER RELATIONSHIPS TO GOD AND ONE ANOTHER
SKM_C654e20110122280.pdfDue to COVID-19 and the ELCA Synod regulations, we are unable to meet as we normally have as a youth department on Wednesday nights. We have spent months praying for our youth ministry and so excited to share with our youth and families the exciting things in store for this year!
WHAT YOUTH GROUP WILL LOOK LIKE THIS YEAR:
Our youth group year will be divided into four terms.
Term 1: September 20th - October 31st (Registration deadline: 9/28)
Term 2: November 8th - December 13th (Registration deadline: 11/08)
Term 3: January - February (TBD)
Term 4: March - April (TBD)
Our youth group will be split up in three different pathways. These pathways include different avenues for our youth to grow spiritually (please read about the different pathway opportunities below). Each student will need to register for a different pathway every term - with the exception of the last term (the kids will be able to repeat a pathway). Our youth will only attend the events within their pathway and have the option to attend the large group gathering at the beginning of each term as well. Please utilize our 2020 Youth Calendar as it will have the meeting times and dates for our pathway groups listed, as well as our large group gathering opportunites.
This is the best way we will be able to provide our youth more opportunities for spiritual growth and development, while also abiding by the CDC guidelines and rules within our Synod. Our students' health and safety is our first priority.
TO REGISTER FOR YOUTH GROUP:
Please complete our Annual Permission Slip & Waiver using the link below - as well as register for ONE pathway (see below for more details).
Make A Difference - Serve The World!
Our Change Makers pathway will provide our students with the amazing opportunity to make a difference in this world! This group will serve the community in many ways! Some of the ways include creating care packages for teachers, raking leaves, ding dong dinner preparation. baking delivery goods for police station, etc. We are excited to empower our youth to make a difference. As a servant of Christ, it can help you discover your purpose and feel fulfilled in a selfless manner.
Katie will be leading this pathway - please see the youth calendar for more info.
Our Kingdom Builders pathway will teach your child what it means to live their life as a Christ follower. We want to spend time building community through team building activities as well as working on our character. This pathway will be focusing on how to live and love others the way that Jesus loves us. This pathway encourages students to make decisions shaped by God's word and centered around our savior.
Holly and Kelly will be leading this pathway - please see the youth calendar for more info.
Our Small Groups pathway will provide our students with the opportunity to discover themselves within their faith while developing a deeper relationship with Jesus, their small group ;leader, and their fellow youth group members. This is a great way for our students to see how the gospel applies to their daily life.
